New Years Eve

ok so every year i look for something epic today for new years. last year i had to work on new years day :( but this year its going to be my last day with my family that i work for the i have some time off before i start my new job so i want to do something awesome.  but now i can"t find anything so friends out there please let me know of any parties or hang outs that is going on in PDX not looking to spend a lot of money and would like to be with lots of friends.  the thing is if i don"t find something before Christmas i will be home by my lonesome :)

Praying for Kyron

hey friends and love ones i wanted to take a minute and ask you to pray for Kyron Horman.  i have been been praying for him since for ever but i feel like something is going to happen soon and i think that prayer needs to be there for his family and the people that love and care about him.

Confessions of a Broken Woman : the novel

well i thought that since i have a hard time sitting down to work on my book and i am always online that i would start my book online with hope of one day putting it together and getting it published. please understand that these are my thoughts and feelings of things that are going on in my life and i would like not to be judge by them. somethings may come up that i have never shared with anyone in my life or that very few people know. my goal with this book is to be as open as i can in hopes of healing some wounds or even to claim the glory of God. my heart will always be in a place of prayer its just going to depend on in which way i am choosing to let God in on the situation .

Mini Twist :)

i have found the joys of Mini Twist, i have been twisting my hair since i went natural and i was loving the twist outs and all of that. then a few months ago i was reading Essence ( which is like my all time favorite relaxed read, more on that later ) and i was reading that with my hair type a medium to course Kinky that i should try to keep it up in like braids or something of the like since it tends to brake easily. so i have been trying it and it has helped i am not in it everyday braking off my ends so it has a chance to grow i have been doing this for about 3 or so months more on the last month it takes sometime to put them in like around 6 hours or so but so worth it i get every minute back in sleep ( which is amazing in the winter ) i think that once i find someone that i can handle braiding my hair then i will braid in the colder months and twist in the warmer. i only leave my twist in for about 3 1/2 weeks before i take them out and wash my hair with shampoo. i do was my twist but its more of a co wash, i also spray it with a mix that i make myself and had a shea butter that i also make myself in every night and every morning i spray with the same water mix to fluff it up a bit but not to wet while its cold outside. my computer with the camera is out trying to be fixed right now but as soon as i get it back i will do a video on my twist and my morning and evening routine.

Juice fast 1-6

ok so i knew that this was not going to be easy but my word this really isn"t easy so i went to my Doctor yesterday and she gave me the ok to try it. the only thing was that she wanted me to add protein ( which i think is the worst thing ever i hate every flavor ) but i made it though it. i made it all the way though day 6 when money became and issue then i had to hold off. it does cost about $15-$30 a day to keep it up depending on how much you are drinking and what you are putting in it. but i did lose about 6 lbs :) which i have only gained back about 2 since i have stopped i am hoping that i will get back on track within the next few days :)

60 day juice fast

so i am thinking that i want to do a 60 day juice fast. I know that this will not be an easy thing to do but i think that it would help.


what gave me the idea :

well one day my aunt sent me a link to this movie that i should watch. she knew that i had been looking into my options about weight loss and thought that i would enjoy it :) i so did, the movie was Fat, Sick, Nearly Dead if you haven"t seen it you must it is amazing. i am thinking that i want to take 60 days to worry about me i spend so much time thinking about everyone else and please believe me when i say that i love my friends and what i do. but i have never taken the time to stop and worry about my health. this blog was started because of my hair journey and how i wanted to care for it with out all the harmfully things that are out there so why not take the time and do the same for my body. what i put in my body will make my hair look and feel better and i will start to look on the outside that i feel on the inside. i have to talk to both my Doctors this week but the goal is to start Dec. 1 2011 and end Feb. 1 2012 this is going to be a long hard road but i think that if i take it one day at a time that i will be able to reach my goal and that i will one day be happy with myself outside and inside. after all i have spent the last 2 years working on the inside and not to say that i am nearing the end ( look at my family i have a ways to go) but i think that means that i could start to get it together :) so here we go i am super excited

• one thing i hate is that i am a crazy product junky if i see someone that does a style that i do but they use a different product i will go out and get it. so i want to say to you just because a product works for me doesn't mean that its going to work for you. your best bet is if you see something that you like and you are near by please ask me if you want to use it before you buy it or if you are not then most stores offer samples if you ask for them, so do it places that i know for sure do it is Walgreen's and Whole Foods ( places that i have tried )
